Secrets Of How To Buy A Cheap mp3 Player - Part 1

There is no doubt that, since the advent of the original mp3 players some years ago, it has become considerably easier to make your music or downloaded audiobooks truly mobile.

But, if you look to buy a branded machine in your local high street or at the mall, like an iPod, for example, you'll quickly discover that it is not a cheap mp3 player.

So, do you have to spend large sums of money to avail yourself of an mp3 player?

Absolutely not! It is actually not that difficult to buy a cheap mp3 player, and these articles will show you how to go about it.

If you are looking to buy a cheap mp3 player, it is safe to assume that you are working to a budget. So, the first step, way before you attempt to locate and buy a cheap mp3 player, is to decide what your budget actually is, exactly how much money you can afford to spend on your cheap mp3 player.

Now, this may seem very obvious, but often, it seems to be forgotten.

However, there is a simple reason for this, I believe.

Imagine for a moment that you are NOT in the market to buy cheap mp3 player, but are, instead, able and willing to shell out for a branded model.

Then, the pricing structure is very easy to understand. You want an mp3 player with 1GB of memory it will cost you less than a player with 2GB. Likewise, a 512MB memory machine will cost less than a 1GB player, but more than a 256MB.

At the top end of the range, an 80GB video iPod will cost more than a 30GB video player.

And so on, and so forth, ad infinitum.

Thus, it's all very logical and straightforward.

You decide the specification that you want, how much memory storage your branded mp3 player should have, whether you want video or not and so on. This points you to a certain model, and you can either afford it or you cannot.

You can afford it, you buy it. If not, you reduce your expectations, and go for a lower specification model.

If you want to buy a cheap mp3 player, however, the picture is far less clear, for several reasons.

Firstly, to buy a cheap mp3 player, you are going to have to look beyond the stores in the high street or local mall. Those stores will concentrate their efforts on selling higher margin branded models, and probably carry very few cheap mp3 players, if any at all.

Secondly, once you look beyond the high street and actually find good places to buy cheap mp3 players, you will the second problem, the problem that makes it so important to decide on your budget first.

And this is, because of the competition in the cheap mp3 payer market sector, the pricing structure is not at all logical!

Thus, Company A might offer you a 2GB player for $100, whereas Company B may only offer 1GB for the same price. So, the first reaction would probably be, go with Company A, and that could be 100% the correct decision.

But, it could equally be 100% the wrong decision, simply because, when you are in the market for a cheap mp3 player, the specifications of machines vary far more widely than seem to in the branded market.

It could be something as simple as the quality of the earphone set that comes as standard with the cheap mp3 player. It could be the warranty that you get from Company B, in our fictitious situation above, offers 12 months protection, rather than the 6 months offered by Company A.

In the final analysis, when you go to buy cheap mp3 player, you have to pay far more attention to the "small print" than you do when you buy in the local mall.

Top 99 Free Mp3 Downloads & Cheap Mp3 Player Secrets

First, something for nothing! I love mp3's, mainly for their file size and convenience. Consequently, I scour the net for the best free downloads, and have created my own unique "Top 99 Free mp3 Downloads" report that you can ONLY get from my website, by following the link at the foot of the page.

Absolutely free, of course!

And, I'm a big fan of buying cheap rather than expensive, as long as the quality is up to snuff, whenever possible. For that reason , this article will highlight some more factors to consider when you are thinking about whether to buy a cheap mp3 player.

As discussed in the previous article about how to buy a cheap mp3 player, it is now possible and feasible to purchase such a product directly from the manufacturer online.

This is one option open to anyone looking to buy a cheap mp3 player online, and a pretty valid one nowadays. The overall quality of mp3 players coming from the Far East has improved immeasurably over the past few years and cheaper Asian players are no longer the risk that they perhaps once were.

However, before looking in depth at exactly what buying online in this manner entails, and some of the pros and cons of trying to buy a cheap mp3 player online, I want to deal with one other option for buying a player on a budget.

Have you given any thought to buying a used mp3 player, rather than a brand new one?

If so, this article will "join all the dots" for you!

If not, you perhaps should do, as it may have some advantages over trying to buy a cheap mp3 player that is brand new.

You would be able to purchase a branded machine for considerably less than you would have to pay in the local mall. The price of a used branded player would almost certainly fall within the budget of people looking to buy cheap mp3 players, and, if you were willing to buy a machine that is a couple of years old, then the price could be very attractive indeed.

And, of course, it's a brand name, with all of the cachet attached to owning branded goods!

Moreover, if you buy from a reputable dealer, then there is a very good chance that the used branded player will be refurbished or refitted as well. Consequently, you would know that it is in good working condition, at least when it left the shop.

Thus, if you are looking to buy a cheap mp3 player, this is one course of action that you could certainly justifiably follow.

Indeed, not all that long ago, before the manufacturers of cheap mp3 players set about improving the quality and reliability of their products, this might have been the best cheap mp3 player option.

Compare the mp3 market to the car market, and you will see a clear parallel.

Not so many years ago, when choosing between a three year old Japanese car or a brand new Korean built automobile, I guess that 99% of people would have bought Honda or Toyota..

Now, Korean cars are almost universally seen as reliable, practical and good value for money (if a little bland). I would speculate that, asked a similar question now, you average savvy car buyer might take a different view to that of the not so distant past.

A savvy shopper thinking about buying a cheap mp3 player is in the same situation.

The quality of the cheaper products in the market has improved amazingly over the past few years, and literally continues to do so a little bit more every day.

Nowadays, to buy a cheap mp3 player does not mean that you have to compromise on quality and reliability in quite the same way as you used to.

In fact, as a long time Asia resident, I can tell you from personal experience that many of the branded machines that you can buy in the local mall are actually manufactured in the very same factories as the cheap mp3 players which the company sell under their own brand name for a fraction of the price!

Thus, there is absolutely no reason why deciding to buy a cheap mp3 player is a poor, or a second, choice. The quality is excellent and ever improving, the value for money factor is beyond question, and usually even cheap p3 players bought online come with a one year warranty.

On the other hand, a used machine is likely to enjoy a very short warranty period (3 months is the norm) if it has one at all. And, no matter how well it has been reconditioned, the fact remains that a percentage of its usable life (perhaps a significant percentage) has already past, and the machine will inevitable carry some wear and tear.

Even a more expensive branded solid state player (i.e. one with no moving parts) cannot entirely escape the inevitable ravages of passing time.

On the other hand, buy a cheap mp3 player that is brand new, an you know that there is absolutely no chance that anything is worn, and that any faults that do show themselves will inevitably be manufacturing defects, covered by the warranty.

Of course, the one thing that you inevitably lose if you do opt to buy a cheap mp3 player from a little known manufacturer is that your player is not "cool".

Me, I can handle that! Give me a "non-cool" cheap mp3 player that is going to run like clockwork or many years than a second-hand player that carries a fashionable name, which unfortunately dies on me a few months after I buy it.

In my view, that is a classic case of what is known as a false economy!

But, one final thought on buying a used mp3 player. If you are seriously convinced that only a brand name product will do it for you, then check out the online auction sites like ebay.com. They almost always have sellers looking to get rid of brand name players at pretty good prices, and it is even possible from time to time to get them almost brand new, still with a good warranty period.

My view, however, is still buy a cheap mp3 player from a non-branded manufacturer, brand new. More on exactly how to go about this in the next article.

Cheap MP3 Player - 6 best buys!

Quickly recap, in my previous articles, I some basic features of many of the factors you should consider when you cheap on a mp3 player.

On his, I tried on several great free resources, such as for example the thirty free audiobooks for download available at TalkAlive.com and the free report download available at BuyCheapmMp3player.info, detailing nearly 100 top free mp3 download sites, including music, free players etc tools.

If you still have brought not these free resources, I urge you to do this so now!

It on s left on the crucial question, all to see.

If you have convinced my previous ramblings, that to get a great mp3 player, you don't necessarily have to spend a large amount of money, you can see, that to buy a low-cost mp3 right player, make sense?

So, let us define our terminology here. In the debate on a cheap mp3 player, we talk about what level of cheap about?

Even casual, many mp3 players who in fact are very, very cheap produce lazy walk through a few Web sites!

We are talking about 128 MB player (which translated to 30-35 songs, or about two and a half to three hours of music), can be purchased directly from China for less than $20! Also, believe it or not, as well as a 12 month guarantee!

But for the specific machines that I have found, and am myself on there are many clear disadvantages directly out of the box, the definitely me as an experienced mp3 users, even if it would stop it!

As stated above, if you buy cheap mp3 players directly, online, the outstanding risk is that the sound quality very well could be bad be, and can by definition not check to see that this is the case, before you buy.

If it can be manufactured and sold for less than $20 (assuming that in the low cost environment of Asia) you have on the question of which level of the parts are expected to be used when it is done?

I would be willing to bet my home on the quality of life of all components is bad or very bad, and the quality of the sound is at best very average.

Do not forget also that, that the vast majority of the cheap mp3 players are a type of model is at the end of the spectrum mp3 Flash players, rather than the player of more often found more expensive solid state type. This means that they contain moving parts, in this case certainly very conveniently moving parts.

This leads to two additional risks and dangers. The first class clear risk is the increased risk of breakages and length. The second, less critical, but far more irritating, the risk is that Flash Player can based such as the old mobile CD players, in so far as they have a tendency to jump or skip while playing.

Pretty clearly again, this is a problem, this is much more likely, even in a player less than $20 is listed, as there is a which, manifesting, that is more up market, and therefore better!

Granted, it carries a full 12 months warranty, but how easy is probably to enforce that?

In fact given the fact that the player will cost less than $20, as probably you really try, take advantage of the guarantee the machine should break anyway?

It is essentially worthless in my opinion.

For these reasons, I so the super cheap $20 mp3 would ignore player.

The reality is that something really worth to get something that meet sound quality to your music anthology, you need mp3 player, the less than $200 cost.

This is the mark in the sand, I used in my top 6 cheap mp3 players compile.

Full and detailed game instructions what are these top 6 players, and the most important reasons that I have chosen you will find on my Web site (address below), so I'll go through exactly the same information in this article

Suffice it to say that although these top six League there are two well known names, there are four far lesser-known names, including one that I can categorically deny with me or to my family!

All offer great value for money, 128 MB to 2 GB less storage and all unique within our $200 bound.

Go check out my top 6 recommended to BuyCheapMp3Player.info/top6.html

Two best for less than $100 buy cheap MP3 player-

As you may know from my previous articles, I have a list of my top six favorite cheap mp3 player on my website BuyCheapMp3Players.

A few of my top six are bottom of the price range machines by brand manufacturer (Apple iPod and Sony).

Most people are pretty familiar with these two companies and the quality of the products that they produce. In addition, most mp3 players, which have produced them in-depth elsewhere on websites, in press reports and the like covered have.

I see well beaten ground through these machines in detail describe therefore little point in recovery.

What I want to do is instead a little more verbose to enter a brief comparative analysis of a few cheap mp3 players from lesser-known manufacturers.

Both of these machines, my opinion of capsules nicely the reasoning behind my impartial recommendation, to buy a cheap mp3 player, instead of wasting our money on a machine, expensive brand maybe.

Is the simple fact that there are many cheap mp3 players that offer high quality at exceptional prices, and you need why pay more?

In other words, the two players, which I have highlighted below give tremendous value for money, and who wants to see us not?

iRiver iFP-700 (780T model - 128 MB-@$ 60)

The first point to note about this player is the high quality of sound and my previous articles have tried everything, emphasize how important this is. In particular, the bass is simply excellent, making this a very good choice for those who used their mp3 player, especially rock music, hip hop and the like to hear.

Four hours of music translated the 128 MB available about, well in the ability of battery life, which can easily last twenty hours plus in normal use.

It plays MP3, WMA & OGG music files and can record from any source, not only through your PC. It has a FM radio, is quite resistant to that skips and jumps, based often a feature of Flash Player and weighs only 3 grams!

So there is a damn lot of the good things you can say about the 780T, so buy an outstanding in its class and price range for me.

I have, of course, a few little gripes!

First of all, the radio reception is often not very good. Of course, this is only relevant if you are interested in to listen to radio, but it's something to keep in mind.

Secondly, I found a little difficult to use and quite uncomfortable in purchasing the headphones. Not that the 780T is unique in that, and, of course, headphones can be purchased separately, but I don't really like the standard phones, with 780 tonnes.

That being said, it is still a very, very good example of what you get when you buy a cheap mp3 player, and for the price, it is exceptional value for money.

SanDisk Sansa e100 (e140 - 1 GB$ 80)

This comes with 1 GB of memory, so it is of course the ability to download more music than the above 780T.

Again, this is five-star mp3 player, high quality of a lesser-known name that can play mp3 or WMA files, weighs 0 4ozs and has a battery life of 15 hours continuous playback.

Also like the 780T this provides excellent sound quality, with its "TruBass" function again to the response at the bottom of the tonal scale Add.

The controls are arranged very ergonomic and are easy to use and the backlit LCD display, allies to detailed album or song to make this a very simple player actually work.

It has the additional advantage that there is no requirement for special software for songs on it - "drag and drop" loading Windows simply is all that is necessary - and pure functions, Sansa e140 pretty hard to beat.

Disadvantages are again like 780T, very few.

It seems noticeably (and slightly irritating) to be a gap between tracks on the play e140, but this seems to be a function (or fault), I found that with some other Flash have an inherent fault of the technology, rather than the manufacturer player one, constructed so maybe it is.

Also, once again, I found the headphones unpleasant, but (since the frequency that this seems to be the case) perhaps should I blame the shape of my own ears, rather than on the phones!

To sum up the iRiver represent-780 tonnes and the SanDisk Sansa e140 all is what's good about the idea of buying a cheap mp3 player!

Both retail for under $100 in the high street or local shopping mall, but before buying, don't forget to check the Special eBay offers from my signature at the bottom of this page at particularly favourable prices!

Both offer excellent sound quality, functionality, low weight and good looks.

So, is quite simply your choice.

You want the additional $30 to pay or 780T to move upwards of four hours of music with the iRiver fifteen hours or so (before a battery replacement is required) with the Sansa e140 so necessary? Otherwise, there's so little to choose between them....

As they say, you pays your money, you takes your choice!
